As we support the values and strategy of Cross, as a women's discipleship ministry, we will also encourage and provide ways to Gather, Grow, Give, and Go. See below for further details on each.

Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."
Our commitment to gather is a testimony to growth and fruit in our walk with Christ. We desire to be with God's people as much as possible! Cross offers a variety of options for gathering with your local church family:
Our commitment to gather is a testimony to growth and fruit in our walk with Christ. We desire to be with God's people as much as possible! Cross offers a variety of options for gathering with your local church family:
- Corporate Worship:
- Our weekly gatherings are held on Sunday mornings at 8, 9:45, and 11:30am.
- Monthly Seek Services are held the first Thursday of each month at 6pm.
- Other worship gatherings will be announced throughout the year as they are available.
- Women's Bible Studies are offered in three seasons here at Cross: Winter/Spring, Summer, and Fall. Each season, the new options are announced in the worship guide, on the website, by announcement during the service, and through a church-wide email. We offer a variety of studies with both morning and evening options. Morning options often include childcare as well. Studies are led by women in our church using their gifting for the glory of God.
- Abide Worship Gatherings: beginning Fall 2024, we will offer women's seasonal worship gatherings. These will include worship, time in the Word, food and fellowship, and hearing the stories of other women.
- Community Groups: sermon-based conversation with men and women held throughout Beaufort County every week. A great way to connect with a smaller community!
- Core Groups: small (3-4), same-gender, intentional discipleship groups that typically meet once a week and include the following: time in the Word, prayer, accountability, Scripture memory, and meaningful community. We are developing Core groups now and hope to share more soon.

Colossians 2:6-7 says, "Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
Our commitment to grow is evidence of the work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts giving us a desire to grow and helping us to respond to this desire. Learn more about Grow opportunities here at Cross:

2 Corinthians 9:7 says, "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." And continues in verse 12, "For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God."
God provides for His church through His people. Everything we have is already His, but we have a unique opportunity to respond to His generosity to us in how we worship Him through giving back a portion of what He has provided.
Here at Cross, we invite you to partner with us in one or more of the following ways:

Here at Cross, we invite you to partner with us in one or more of the following ways:
- Giving: the first place we give financially should be to the ministry of the local church. God uses our obedience to further the work of His kingdom and expand the reaches of His name. We invite you to partner with us!
- Serving in Women's Discipleship: If you are a covenant member and have a heart for serving women, we have teams that include: hospitality, special events, prayer and care, worship, and leadership opportunities.
- Serving at Cross: Is there another area you are interested in serving at Cross? Great! Please reach out to Aaron at aaron@crosscommunity.org. We have a variety of teams including worship, audio, welcome, hospitality, coffee, seating, prayer, and more!
- Ministry Partners: We have partnered with a variety of local ministries and they often have serving opportunities available. Time commitments and opportunities vary. You are welcome to reach out to a ministry you are interested in knowing more about for more info or email Monica at monica@crosscommunity.org.

Jesus gave the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the HolySpirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
He has entrusted us with the message of the gospel - the good news that God sent His Son Jesus to live a sinless life on this earth, to walk in obedience through death on a cross which pays the penalty for our sin, and to be resurrected to new life which He offers freely to all who will call on His name. We are now stewards of this life-changing news all to bring glory to God!
As women of Cross, we will carry out this mandate in many ways. A few of the ways you can participate here with other women are:

As women of Cross, we will carry out this mandate in many ways. A few of the ways you can participate here with other women are:
- Pray! We tend to say things like, "All I can do is pray." Let us become women who the first thing we do is pray! Prayer is a mighty tool in God's economy that softens our hearts and shows our willingness to be available and used to carry God's message. Am I prayerfully open to opportunities to share Him? Am I actively looking for those who may receive the news with gladness?
- Participate: never underestimate the impact of showing up. You never know who will be there that needs to hear something you are wrestling with, walking through, or have learned from. By actively showing up and participating in worship, studies, and events - you are proclaiming the gospel to those around you. And it might even be a blessing to you too!
- Invite a Friend: part of the goal for our Abide Worship Gatherings is to provide an opportunity for the women in our church to invite friends and neighbors to a one-time event. This will be an entry point for some who may not otherwise come where they can come on a weeknight, enjoy community with other women, make new friends, hear stories of women, be led in the Word and worship, and enjoy some good food together. Be thinking now about who you can invite to the next Abide Gathering!
- Outreach Opportunities: Occasionally we have opportunities to reach out and partner with ministries in our community. As these become available, we will get the word out - please stay tuned for more details!
